5-powerful-ways-to-get-traffic-instantly

You should always be looking for different ways to drive more traffic to your website. Concentrate on the five areas below and watch your online sales sky-rocket in no time!

1.) Search Engine Optimization (SEO):

Your site must be optimized in order for you to see positive rankings in the search engines. This is a very important process when starting or growing your Internet business and it's free! Failing to optimize your site is a deadly mistake. If you don't do anything else, please do this one step!

2.) Paid Advertising:

Spend a little money on Pay-Per-Click (PPC) campaigns to pump up the volume on your website visitors. PPC advertising, paid listings or placed banner ads on related websites are an excellent way to generate targeted traffic. If you are currently running some paid advertising, look for new websites to place your banner ads or do more market testing with Google Adwords.

3.) Link Exchanges:

When I first got started promoting affiliate products online back in 2001, link exchanges was the only traffic generating method I used. It worked so well that I failed to do anything else.

  • I soon realized that exchanging links with high traffic websites not only worked, but worked exceptionally well when done with other forms of online marketing! Exchanging links will help you create value for your website and search engines love value! :)

4.) Public Relations (PR):

A good way to drive traffic to your website in a short amount of time is to send out press releases about your business. Media outlets would love to run your story as long as it is newsworthy and related to current events. The link backs that you would get when running your press releases would create great value for your website resulting in high search engine rankings.

5.) Offline Marketing:

I don't care if you are a newbie or an advanced Internet marketer making millions of dollars online, if you are not promoting your product or service offline then you are potentially leaving huge amounts of money on the table. Some offline marketing ideas include; business cards, brochures, tv ads, radio ads, speaking engagements, car signs, yard signs, press releases, postcards, flyers, marketing events and trade shows. You may also want to join your local Chamber of Commerce and start networking with local business owners and entrepreneurs.

5-fantastic-blogs-personal-growth

Blogging is becoming increasingly popular. Everyone seems to have a blog these days. However, all blogs are not created equal. Here is a list of some great blogs within the niche of personal growth and development.

Zen Habits -

Zen Habits is a blog maintained by Leo Babauta that has been around since 2007. He holds the record for having one of the largest followings of any blog out there. Zen Habits has a lot of great tips for helping one to improve his or her life by learning to live simply and being in better harmony with their life. In addition, Leo Babauta has self-published several books on Amazon.

The Bold Life -

Maintained by Tess Marshall, this is a no-nonsense blog that helps readers overcome fear, simplify their life, and learn how to make choices that will help them to live a happier, bolder life. Just like Leo Babauta, Tess Marshall is also a self-published author whose books you can find on Amazon.

Live Bold and Bloom -

Barrie Davenport is an inspirational blogger who shares her insights and wisdom for learning how to deal with many of life's bigger challenges and achieve a better sense of calm and peace. Barrie has worked with several big names in the blogging business and offers coaching services to those who seek a coach.

Peaceful Planet Communication -

Okay, I will admit to being a little biased about this blog since it is operated and maintained by my personal friend Leah McClellan. She offers great tips on living more peacefully and shares great stories to tie her points together. She is, however, giving less of her time to this blog and is beginning to devote more of her time to her newest blog Antinomos which focuses more on blogging and business than personal growth and development.

Self Discoveries -

Once again, I admit to being biased on this recommendation as this is my own personal blog. On Self Discoveries, I write about ways to help you get to the core of who you really are and ways that you can get to know yourself better. I share stories from my own personal exploits and experiences and other tidbits that I come across. If you check out the right sidebar, you will find a link to download my free ebook titled Live a Life You Love, Love the Life You Live which provides tips on how to live more authentically.

If you know of other blogs that deserve a spotlight or some praise, be sure to drop me a line or comment below!

healthy-reader-blog-guide

Listed as #4 in the top health blog sites, Healthy Reader is a guide to a healthy lifestyle. The blog contains unique recipes, proper diet and nutrition insights, and stable financial advice. Blogger Paul gives readers his philosophy on nutrition, exercise, and other healthy lifestyle choices.
Born and raised in Sioux Falls, SD. "I'm a bit of an anomaly in the heartland given my viewpoints on diet. Everybody is meat'n'taters in South Dakota," claims Paul.

What does Paul attribute his blog being listed as #4 in the top health blogs category? "Hard work and honesty. I spend hours every day working on Healthy Reader. Some posts can take several hours to research and write. I try to put my own experiences into each post." Paul replied.

What sparked Paul's interest in the health field? "I have always known that I have a unique outlook on diet and nutrition. My friends and co-workers enjoy ribbing me because I drink soy milk, or I take a fish oil supplement every day, or that I put flax seed on my cereal," says Paul.

"I'm not really sure what the catalyst was that started my interest in health. Occurrences of heart disease, diabetes, and cancer seem to be unusually high in my family. When I was 18 and starting in college I lost an uncle who had diabetes to a stroke and I think that made me wake up and take notice. I appreciate my health and never take it for granted, explained Paul.
What differentiates Paul's blog from all the other health-related ones? Paul states, "I would like to think it is a unique perspective on life and not just health. It is a view into how I lead my life - quirky as it may be. I have positioned my blog in the health and fitness domain but I like to think of it more as a lifestyle guide."

What has been your experience in the blogworld? Do you have any stories about how your blog has affected your readers?
Paul answers with, "I am relatively new to the blogworld. I am a pretty introverted person and blogging isn't exactly a natural thing for me. When I first started doing this I was worried that people would think my posts aren't interesting or that I am stupid. I would be obsessive about reading and rereading my posts before publishing them. I was also worried that I would offend someone with something I said."

"I have found that as I continue to do this I am more comfortable speaking my mind and I even enjoy being snarky on some posts. You can't make everyone happy and you probably shouldn't even bother trying."

"The interest in Healthy Reader has increased tremendously in the last month. I just added a "Contact" page so that people can get in touch with me."

What is your background? I know you are quoted as saying you became interested in good health due to be surrounded by cancer and heart conditions. Was this at a young age? Did you begin experimenting with foods? With alternative remedies?
"Undergraduate in Accounting, M.S. in Information Systems. I have been a software engineer for the last ten years. I am a web developer in my day-to-day job so the technical side of blogging is easy for me."

"I started watching my diet back in college. Contrary to the norm, I actually lost weight during my freshman year of college. I just got into the habit of eating a low-fat diet and it stuck with me. I have learned so much since then and I understand that low-fat isn't necessarily the optimum diet plan. In college I also got into the habit of exercising. I'm not exactly a gym rat but I do exercise on a regular basis. I feel guilty if I miss a workout."

"It is only in recent years that I started to look into supplements and alternative remedies. I want to make sure I haven't left anything unchecked."

"I like to read and I normally read non-fiction. Some of the books that influenced me are: The Zone Diet by Barry Sears, Can we live 120 years by Mikhail Tombak, and The Millionaire Next Door."

7) I notice your blog states you give sound financial advice. Such as?

"I look at my focus on fitness as an investment and hopefully it will pay dividends later in my life, but I think health and wellness involves much more than just diet and exercise. It is just as important to have a "healthy" financial portfolio. It is so simple really, spend less than you make, pay off your debt, and save the rest. My parents were a big influence on my financial discipline. It all boils down to discipline. You need discipline to control your diet, to exercise on a regular basis, and to control your money." said Paul.

8) What is a 'lifehack'? It's mentioned in your blog.

"I am always looking for ways to simplify my life and a lifehack is just that: a product, service, or a productivity tip that helps you simplify and organize your life. I didn't coin that phrase but I like the sound of it," replied Paul.

9) Do you develop the recipes on your site? (They look scrumptious!)

Paul replied: "Yes I do. I love to cook. I do all the cooking and the grocery shopping in my house. My favorite time of day is the hour or so I spend cooking dinner. I find it very relaxing and invigorating."

"I received most of my influence and training from a few cooking magazines I subscribe to and by watching the Food Network religiously. I find that now I don't really need to have recipes planned out for the week nor do I need to write down an extensive grocery list when I go to the store. I just go to the store and buy whatever is in season and looks fresh and I am able to cook a meal from scratch without a detailed step-by-step recipe."

10) What do you foresee for your blog?

Paul answered: "If there is interest perhaps I would write a book. I think I could do a book about discipline and how it relates to wellness. My goal is to do this full time. I have a few other projects I am working on in addition to Healthy Reader."
"I love writing for Healthy Reader and I will continue with Healthy Reader as long as I have the passion. I keep broadening my categories and I haven't run out of ideas or topics yet. I have over 50 drafts started. As soon as it feels like a job I'm done."
"I have thought about starting another blog that relates to my interests in outdoor activities. I am an avid bicycle rider and I like to bike tour. I also enjoy kayaking, hiking, etc. I have been doing these things for about as long as my health-related activities. The problem is time."

3-myths-about-website-traffic

If you want to succeed online you need traffic and most people have false, limiting beliefs that getting traffic is a difficult thing. Then this belief becomes a reality for them. If you want to make it big online, if you want your website business to experience explosive growth then you must firmly and passionately believe that you can do it!
This is not about the Law of Attraction or all that New Age stuff (I am not against them), it is about pure common sense. If you don't believe in your success how on earth can you succeed?

Here are the top-3 Myths/Beliefs that are actually preventing you from getting all the traffic you wish and more:

Limiting Myth #1: If you want to generate lots of quality traffic you have to be an expert, a "guru".

Wrong! Although being an internet marketing "guru" means you know how to get your traffic and succeed, the truth is you only need to be better than the average person in your industry. It is not hard to be on top of the average person in your market if you are focused on educating yourself and keep learning the nuts and bolts of your industry.

What happens in reality though is that most people do not believe in their content or products/services and they sabotage their own plans for success.

Limiting Myth #2: If you want to generate lots of quality traffic you need lots of time.

Wrong! It does not take long time to build traffic to even an average site. Then why it takes so much time for most people to build it? I assume its because they are doing it wrong! For example:

- They spend lots of money to buy their traffic instead of generating it themselves.
- They put all their efforts/attention in the quantity of traffic instead of quality.
- They believe that adding more and more quality content, their site will get noticed by everyone in time.

The truth is that with the huge social sites available today, it is easier than ever to start generating traffic immediately.

Limiting Myth #3: If you want need to generate lots of quality traffic you should buy all the paid tools and info products out there and test everything you find online...

Wrong, wrong, wrong! The truth is you actually have all the tools you need at your disposal and funny thing is that most of them are super popular and free! But if you are like the majority of website owners/webmasters you've been kept in the shadows of what's working and what's not (when it comes to generating quality, tightly targeted traffic).

Why have you been kept in the dark? Simply because all these people who know what actually works and what really makes money, will not share their secrets with just anybody. It makes sense right? Would you give your business secrets to a competitor? Of course not. I know, I know it helps to share stuff sometimes but you must know what to share and when to share it...

So, these are the top-3 myths about getting traffic. These days there are so many super popular sites (social networking sites, article directories and press release sites, special sites like squidoo or hubpages) that can get you tons of traffic if you consistently following (or inventing) a traffic generation strategy that brings you all the quality traffic you want.

I hope this article will inspire you to start building your own traffic generating technique(s). I have also written other articles about internet marketing, traffic and SEO, please check my yahoo writer's profile.
